BlackBerry Q5: Could it be a new entry to the market for the Giant?

With the release of the new budget smart phone, RIM looks to remodeling its market dominance strategy. The Q5 is a new release expected to be sold at a cheaper price as compared to the earlier gadgets. It runs the same BB10 OS as the mighty Z10.
With their familiar fixed keyboard, you won’t miss a thing of your blackberry experience. This budget gadget comes with many mythical features and has more discrete buttons in comparison to the recently launched Q10 model.
Regardless of its lower cost, the Q5 is expected to run the full version of the recent OS.

With this move, RIM seems to be strategizing to expand its market beyond the big spenders to moderate income earners even those in the third world.
Ovum analysis indicates that emerging markets will account for close to 40% of the nearly 2 billion smart-phones shipped worldwide by 2017.
Ovum’s principal device and platforms analysts Adam Leach said,
This move by RIM is a significant move towards the introduction of cheaper gadgets. It’s time for consumers to start getting quality for a cheaper price.

This product is the first of its kind from Research In Motion, cheap, yet of a high quality.

"The Q5 could be a very significant device for the company and the end users too, as there is a significant opportunity for high-quality of the product but with a low-cost for Q5 smart-phone."

All in all the most important and amazing thing about this new product is the least cost.

This more likely to win back Blackberry’s success mainly in the emerging markets, regardless of the high competition from other manufacturers like Nokia with their Asha 501, most of the Google android based phones who have already dominated the market.
