Libya's Protests deepen: Defence minister resigns


Mohammed Mahmoud al-Bargati's the minister for defense has resigned over protests calling it an "assault" on democracy.


Mohammed insists the acts of the armed groups is an assault on democracy. His resignation comes as gunmen in Libya's capital Tripoli kept up their siege of ministries on Tuesday. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Zeidan.
In his words, Bargati says, "I will never be able to accept that politics [can] be practiced by the power of weapons ... This is an assault against the democracy I have sworn to protect," 
He is the first cabinet minister to quit in a crisis over the siege. Read More
