President hamid Karzai of Afghanistan said on Thursday that his government is willing and ready to allow United States and her allies take over care of the Afghan military bases after NATO by the end of next year. This is proof that Afghan is willing to accept foreign troops in the near future.
This follows security negotiations between the U.S and Afghanistan underway, aimed at letting U.S troops remain after 2014.
It is believed that President Obama asked for nine bases. in his words Karzai addressed students at Kabul University with these statements;“We agree to give them these bases,” “We consider our relations with the United States beyond 2014 to be positive for Afghanistan.”
